This is a fun one to make.

You will need:

  • 2 parts Grey Goose vodka
  • 2 parts Bols Banana cream liqueur
  • 2 splashes of half and half cream
  • 2 splashes of Kahlua

Pur ingredients into a shaker filled with crushed ice. Shake well and strain into cold martini glasses. On a cocktail pick, place a slice of banana 1/2″ thick and a maraschino cherry. Save the umbrella for another time.

Hot Chocolate With Attitude

Everyone loves a hot cup of hot chocolate when the nights are cold, stormy, snowing or if you live in a tropical area, PRETEND. This is really yummy.

  • Try to buy the best quality white chocolate you can.
  • You need one cup of white chocolate
  • 1 cup coconut cream (unsweetened)
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp. Godiva White Chocolate liqueur

Warm  the milks and cream over  medium heat.  Add the chocolate and stir until completely melted.  Do not boil.  Remove from heat and add the liqueur.  The alcohol will give the drink an extra touch of warm and snuggly.

Now, let the cold winds blow. Who cares?

This is a really neat martini to try. It tastes like the almond/coconut/chocolate bar you could buy when I was growing up. We don’t buy chocolate bars per say anymore, so I don’t know if they still exist.  Anyway….

You will need:

  • 16 parts Chocolate vodka
  • 2 parts Frangelico liqueur
  • 1 part creme de cacao
  • 1 dash  of coconut syrup

Pour ingredients into a shaker filled with crushed ice and shake really well. Strain into chilled martini glasses with 1 unsalted, roasted whole almond.

It’s neat and yummy-yummy!

Cinnamon Vodka Martini

I know, it is not Christmas….but you will have this at the ready WHEN it does come. Right?

I mentioned on FB that it was only 5 months to Christmas and I thought I would get creamed but more and more people are on top of it than I ever thought would happen.

  • 4 cups eggnog
  • 2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup grated semi sweet chocolate
  • 8 oz. cinnamon vodka

In a large saucepan, combine the eggnog, cocoa and cinnamon and stir (whisk) until thoroughly combined. Heat only until it simmers NEVER boils.

Add the grated chocolate and stir until it is melted. Remove from heat and add the vodka. Now pour into chocolate (melted) rimmed heat-proof glasses,  garnish with a stick of cinnamon.

Toast the weather, season, rain or snow….really anything will do. Go for it.
